Most standard size hybrid frames are constructed using small SK® components with 6.3mm hybrid rods. Since 6.3mm and 9.5mm hybrid rods both feature 6mm threads, they both share the same weak link. Therefore, 9.5mm hybrid rods are rarely used except when pins larger than 4.0mm diameter are desired.
